June London Conference: "From Handouts to Handshakes"

This ground breaking central London day conference is an event set up by Transformational Enterprise Network; Angello; Christian Aid Salt Network; Openwell and Transformational SME. 

The five partners are all organisations supporting enterprise solutions to poverty. Our aim is to inspire Christians with a business background (entrepreneurs, investors, advisors) to use their skills and resources to alleviate poverty.

The event will take place on 14 June in the main hall at 10 Union St, London SE1 1SZ (near London Bridge).

Timing is 9.45 for registration and coffee, with a 10.15 start and closing at 3.45pm. 

The programme includes:

A Bible-based introduction from Dr Kim Tan, international impact entrepreneur, investor, author and speaker
Examples of personal involvement, facilitated by Christian Aid CEO Patrick Watt 
Cases studies including from Kennedy Ojunju, whose organisation GDF has helped some of the poorest individuals and communities in Kenya create over 250,000 small business and 2,600 savings and loans groups
An interview with Ezechiel Hatungimana, a serial entrepreneur with a big vision for Burundi
An Interview with Jo Plummer on Business as Mission
A 'hackathon' on building an ecosystem to serve the poor
Opportunities to network.
Early bird cost is £105 plus £3 booking fee rising to £120 + £3 fee. The delegate fee includes a hot fork buffet lunch and all refreshments. 

Please join us for an inspiring and action oriented day and invite your friends and colleagues. There are only a maximum of 160 places among all five partners so we expect the places to sell out well before the event.

The event is organised by Transformational Enterprise Network on behalf of the five host organisations.
